Nouadhibou relies on water feeding on Booulenoir Lake near the city, as it connects with the lake through pipelines which have a capacity of 10 thousand cubic meters of water, and its water is fresh..

·         Generating electricity:

The city has two power plants. The first run on diesel and its production capacity is 63 mega-watts, used to secure civilian needs. The second relies on wind energy with production capacity up to 7 mega-watts, used for industrial purposes.
·         Metals:

Nouadhibou contains enormous mineral wealth, as iron ore is exported iron from the port of Nouadhibou at a rate of 10 million tons annually by SNIM Company, and quartz at a rate of 11 thousand tons annually by MMC Company.
It is expected to double production and export by five-fold after the completion of construction of a new metal port in the city. French Egis Company developed a project to build it in 2012, which encourages enhancing your investments in the field.
·         Marine Resources and Fisheries.

One of the most important and successful sectors in the domestic and foreign investments is the fishing industry. Nouadhibou shore is one of the richest shores with fish worldwide. Fishing occupies an important position in the Mauritanian economy, providing thousands of jobs.
